Honoring Our Commitment & Shaping the Future

Dear Friends, Partners, and Supporters,

During this time of significant change and challenge in our country, one thing stands out that has always been true of Bright Promises, now more than ever: our unwavering commitment our children and youth and the organizations that serve them. These organizations play a crucial role in nurturing the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and change-makers.

As Angela Davis wisely stated, "Young people, I believe, are the most important force for change in our society. They have the energy, the creativity, and the courage to challenge the status quo and envision a better future." This belief underscores the importance of empowering our youth with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive.

We express the deepest gratitude for our community partners and the indispensable role they play in unlocking the full potential of our youth now to create a brighter future for us all.

We remain firmly committed to the organizations, communities, and most importantly the young people that we serve, including and especially children of color, LGBTQIA youth, and immigrant children, youth, and families.

Our commitment is not passive. It is active, intentional, and deeply rooted in our shared vision for a Chicagoland where all children and youth reach their full promise and potential. The institutions and individuals we serve face challenges that demand empathy, understanding, and solidarity. Bright Promises is committed to continue doing what we do best: nurturing and empowering children, families, and communities

We will continue to invest in young people, challenge the systems that perpetuate harm, and lean in to the power of our collective impact-- just as we have been doing for the last 155 years.

Together, we will navigate these challenges and continue to advocate for the rights and well-being of our children and youth, ensuring they have the foundation to become the thoughtful change-makers our society needs.

Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication to our mission.

With gratitude,
