TESTIMONIALS

“Together as a community we are able to build a foundation for a compassionate and trauma-informed society that embraces healing and promotes the well-being of all."

Saraid, youth leader and program participant

“This program helped bring my self-esteem back. My child saw me going...he came up to me and told me ‘Mom, I want to be like you. You’re a leader. I want to be a leader like you.'"

Gabriela, Parent

“There is always someone who can relate to what you're experiencing. Connecting with those individuals is sometimes the most helpful thing you can do so that you know you are not alone and you can build a community.”

Amaya, youth leader and program participant

“Moving through wellness in a trauma-informed way means investing in Self-Reflection and Deep Listening. As professionals, as community members, as lovers, as breathers, these are two of many ingredients we can cultivate deeply, and intentionally in our healthy socioemotional ecosystems.”

JJ McNeal, Bright Promises Youth Council Guide

"The communication, collaboration, and resource-sharing that happens between different agencies and service providers allows children and families to be served in a holistic way.”

Promoting Resiliency Grantee Partner

“Bright Promises transforms circumstances through really deep education and reflection, and then brings together a group of organizations that can tackle the issue."
