We are excited to share more exciting growth within the organization.  The foundation is pleased to welcome Dr. Kathy W. Dames as director of development.  “Kathy brings a diverse background and extensive knowledge of fundraising for non-profits and program development to the foundation.  Her efforts will play an important role in growing our giving program so that we gain the capacity to fund the work of more organizations,” shares Executive Director, Iris Krieg.  “The foundation works to truly impact communities with lasting solutions that can change a child’s life.”  I am delighted to be a part of such an extraordinary mission,” adds Dames. Our research has revealed that funders are often unaware of what is actually happening at the point of service for disadvantaged children. They tend to try to fund what they think is needed, rather than that which is actually needed. This results in ineffective funding and a distracts service providers from optimally serving the children.
Bright Promises Foundation conducts roundtables every four years of industry experts at the foundation, agency and center levels. The insights learned ensure the relevancy and importance of the need upon which the Bright Promises Foundation focuses, and the correct design of the programs deployed to meet these needs.
