One of the greatest challenges in promoting a healthy lifestyle to children is to engage them.  Nowadays, video games are more popular than outdoor sports and junk food commercials make non-nutritional foods cool - kids often don’t care as much about good nutrition as they should.  This has caused many children in Chicago to suffer from obesity and its related effects.
Have you ever thought of spinach as super?  A pretty cool pomegranate?  Erie Neighborhood House has created a curriculum for its Super H – Healthy Kids Make Happy Kids program designed to get kids interested in healthy foods by learning information about and how to prepare different “super foods”.  Led by a high-energy staff, the program gets kids motivated to live healthier.
